The Outcasts of Poker Flat

If you had to blame someone or something for the outcasts' deaths,who/what would you blame and blame why?
-Uncle Billy
-citizens of Poker Flat
-bad luck
-outcasts

In my point of view I think I would blame the citizens of Poker Flat. I think if they didn't feel that they were bigger and better than everyone then these people might of still been with us. In my point of view people are supposed to be given second chance's. Once a person that has done bad or has lived the wrong way see that people really care about them then they will show an effort. I think that if these people weren't kicked out of there own then they would of never died. In my eyes people that have done things that are bad in some points deserve a second chance. For example Mr.Oakhurst didn't seem like a bad guy. He cared about them because we was looking out for there well being. The ladies didn't seem as bad as they we were told they were. They actually had that motherly sense, they cared for the girl. Mother Ship ton's died in order for Penny would live. They knew they lived the wrong way and almost showed redemption. For example the ladies treated Penny very good, Mr.Oakhurts was like the daddy of all the little chicks. He looked out for all of them. The only one that didn't seem to cope or get it was Uncle Billy. He ran away with the supplies and horse's. i would blame the citizens of Poker Flat. In my point of view they were the one's that should be blamed because if they weren't kicked out the town they would of have still lived.

Kate Chopin

The Story of an Hour : in my point of view the women to me is understandable. if the men treated her bad an have total control over her then she had the right to be happy. at the end when she died i was shocked because the man came back alive and it said that they had checked twice to break the news to her. i taught that she was going to be free and i saw how bad she wanted her freedom. i liked how the author always has a twist in the end. like who would of taught that the lady was going to die of knowing that her husband wasn't dead. also who would of known she was going to be happy when he supposedly died. the story was okay but i really didn't like it. i don't know why it was interning but its not my type of favorite story.

The Blind Man : this story is a very political story in my point of view. when the story described the things and how they were hap ping the things reminded me of how the mistreat the incapacitate in Mexico (yet no offence to Mexico.) i could see how the people would just go on with there lives and not even notice this blind man. when the rich guy got runed-over everyone stopped and went to help him. this shows that if you have money and are important you will get attention. then what about all those poor people that have to straggle just to make it out one day. this isn't fair and i loved how she used a blind humbled man to show this from my point of view. i really liked this story because it talked about what we go on with in our own daily lives. this happens so quick that sometimes were not even aware of it. the way she goes about telling the reader the difference between a poor blind man and a rich man is amazing. she brings out the daily truth newspapers and TV try to hide from us when they talk about people that are different from us.

Desiree's Baby : Desiree's baby talks about topic that has been in history racism. the taught of you being superior than the other person just because of the color of your skin is so sad. how back then they were treated. Desiree's husband is a man with great power but also abuses it. he miss treats them just because of the color of there skin. no one knows that in him the same blood run in which those he miss treats. the topic is very interesting and has great details about how the act. i was shocked at the end when it was him and not her that had the blood of those of colored people. i never understood why be like this i mean we all are human and we all have feeling and emotions. then again this was a time of ignorance and superiority. i think that the author has a good point of view and gets here point trough.

today i tried an expirariament my friends came in to withness something unvoliable. a rose that my beutiful dear fiance gave me. they had already seen the affect on the rose and they went for it. they drank from the Foundine of Youth. they see that they are young and go to there old elves again. they had chocked on the chance of being young again. they saw that each would get a secound chance. they wanted to go back to the youth years there years of vanity. i saw that they just drank==-uncontrolabily. i had n-ever seen them like that it was as it Fools in a circus. They wanted a Fulltime of youngness. they wanted there young years back and would do and thing to get it . As the flower went back, to its old self they would ton the reaction of them was the most unbelievable thing they wanted move of that wine, they wanted to do anything to get more they showed me that being young, isn't always good. they showed me that they would Alulae it in vena they showed me that things aren't always the way they as they seem.

His eyes got that look of the demon in him, his eyes couldn't believe it. His words couldn't come out, he stayed emotion less and stood there inshock.

Flowers for Algernon

if you were given a choice to have an operation that would make you much smarter would you do it, especially if you knew the effects of the surgery would only be temporary? Why or Why not? Use examples from the story.

I think I would not do the operation for many reason's. i would have the smartness for some time but then i what would I do after the thing is gone. Yeah my life would change for sometime but it would go back to normal. It would be cool and i would like to play smart for the a while but then after what good would it do. it showed me a world of new things and i can finally understand things better know than before and things have reason's. when it's all over things will just be more confusing to me. i think this because if once i got it and then i don't get it i would get frustrated. i would get mad and wonder why i did this to myself.i would be very confused becasue the people that saw me the way i was before are going to see me different. for example in Charlie went he wnet back to work he felt bad and weird. the people didn't see him the same and he didn't see the people the same way. i don't want this for my myself. i wouldn't do this because the opeation would have more negatives than possitives.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, chpt. 8

explain what this story says about each of these issues family, age, beauty. use examples about the story to support your explanations.

in the story of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button they set an image of family, love and beauty that allot of people aren't a were of. for example everyone knows that family stays together through the good times and the bad times. in the story the father of Benjamin rejects the fact that his baby is a 70-year-old man. he wishes for a second that his son is black, in the late 1860's i think this was a horrible thing because they were like nothing they would get sold like a piece of property. this means that in this family the father was a very cruel person. this shows that the family image that the books paints for us isn't a very healthy family. they don't accept him for how he is because he came out a 70-year-old-man. they wanted him to do baby things that weren't for him. they should of understand that age is a number and that's all it is.

age is a number. just because the person came out with the wrong age doesn't mean they don't feel. on the other the book teaches us that age is very important.that the way people look at you is the way they will treat you. it shows that when Benjamin was actually fifty-five something when he looked 15 and was treated as a fifteen year old. his wife was angry and furious when he would go younger like the time when he came back from the war. age is a number but in this book they show us that it is an important factor of life. another thing that many people have to understand is that true beauty is from within inside not from the outside.

in the book they teach us that Benjamin gets tired of the way his wife looks. this shows and tells us that the beauty on the outside is the one that matters the most form the books point of view. Benjamin was getting younger but his wife was ageing this in the occurring events of the book all that it demonstrated was that the outer beauty was the one that's important. the book showed us that beauty is something that you need. you need the society to look at you as something beautiful. the book tells us that the beauty of the out-side is more important than any emotions of the person.

The Curiuous Case of Benjamin Button,chpts.3-7

After reading chapter 3-7, predict three problems you think Benjamin will encounter and give your solutions for each??

i think that three problems that Benjamin may encounter is one people will think he is the age looks. the second problem was that he may get board with the business he was because his life was all action in when he helped out in the army. the third problem i think that he may go through is loosing his dad's trust or the respect and bond they were finally having.
the solution i would give the first problem is that he lives his life by the age he looks like. if he looks like a teenager then he sold maybe act like one. he should go with what is going on in his life and make the fullest of his own life.

the secound problem he may face is that he may get board of his buisness.since his life was so active and now he's going bsck to a buisness he may get board.
the solution for the second problem is for him to find a new interest and a new hobby or something that may keep him interested. i think that he news to find something that will keep him interested and active at the same time.

the thrid problem that he may face is that his father may be ashamed of him once he finds out that he's leaving his family becasue he's not attracted to his wife anymore.the third problem's solution would be to live with out the trust or respect of his dad or to try to reach to an agreement or something like that. when the dad sees that he is going to leave his own family then he will be ashamed of his son. only he will take it even more serious because he does not understand or will. Benjamin will have to try to talk to him or just go on with his life with out any consent of his life.

The Case of Benjamin Button, chpt.2

Roger is so overly concerned with how Bejamin looks and is worried about what people are going to say. What should he do??

i think that Roger should let go of his imiage and just care for His Son.i think that he is in a hard situasation but still this is his osn and he has to take care of him and he should not act the way he is acting. he should think that this is he's son and that no matter what they need to nurcher him and treat him just the same as if he was a normal baby.sure they have money and have a high society class but this should not be an obstical that interfears with the love they have for him. he is there son. yeah he looks old and maybe is wise but they still need to give him all the love they would of given a normal baby boy. i tihnknthat Roger shouldn't really care that much about how his son is. he should be thankful because god gave him a son and a chance to be a father. i think that al in all he should forget about what people are gonna say that's his boy and nothing will ever change that.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button chpt.1

What would you have done if you were Roger Button in Chapter 1?

i think i would of reacted the same way Mr.Button did but wouldn't have gone right away with the "what will people say of me." i think that this is a very negative way to think about your own life and when you have a child specially. when you have a child you need to bring down your ego. i think that Mr.Button over reacted and is a little hard. i don't know why he all of a sudden starts to deney him. i can't believe doing this to any of my own children. you need to accept your children any way god gave them to you. i would of accepted the son any way he looked like because this is my son blood of my own blood. i wouldn't of taught about what people were going to think about me now. i would of just taken him like MY SON just the way he is.

The hallway

I walk this empty hall
Full of darkness and shadows
I fear this emptiness
In my heart,
In my soul
I don’t know who got me here
In this hall there are no emotions
There are no tears there are no fears

There’s just blackness, zombies walk past me
One, in particular, kisses me
But I don’t see the light in him
I walk this empty hallway every day
I never learn.s
I just walk in the emptiness of my school.
