The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, chpt. 8

explain what this story says about each of these issues family, age, beauty. use examples about the story to support your explanations.

in the story of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button they set an image of family, love and beauty that allot of people aren't a were of. for example everyone knows that family stays together through the good times and the bad times. in the story the father of Benjamin rejects the fact that his baby is a 70-year-old man. he wishes for a second that his son is black, in the late 1860's i think this was a horrible thing because they were like nothing they would get sold like a piece of property. this means that in this family the father was a very cruel person. this shows that the family image that the books paints for us isn't a very healthy family. they don't accept him for how he is because he came out a 70-year-old-man. they wanted him to do baby things that weren't for him. they should of understand that age is a number and that's all it is.

age is a number. just because the person came out with the wrong age doesn't mean they don't feel. on the other the book teaches us that age is very important.that the way people look at you is the way they will treat you. it shows that when Benjamin was actually fifty-five something when he looked 15 and was treated as a fifteen year old. his wife was angry and furious when he would go younger like the time when he came back from the war. age is a number but in this book they show us that it is an important factor of life. another thing that many people have to understand is that true beauty is from within inside not from the outside.

in the book they teach us that Benjamin gets tired of the way his wife looks. this shows and tells us that the beauty on the outside is the one that matters the most form the books point of view. Benjamin was getting younger but his wife was ageing this in the occurring events of the book all that it demonstrated was that the outer beauty was the one that's important. the book showed us that beauty is something that you need. you need the society to look at you as something beautiful. the book tells us that the beauty of the out-side is more important than any emotions of the person.
